A field guide to the CrazyGames build
One code, one link, and a blank
The first click on the gear in the corner of the HUD does not open settings. It opens a panel about the store itself: who you are in it, two buttons for inviting people, and your own permissions. One field was filled in an earlier session and blank in every later one.
What the panel prints
| Row | What it printed | Control beside it |
|---|---|---|
| name | FreakyBanana4115 | none, it is a read-only box |
STORE CODE: | --- | COPY |
STORE LINK: | --- | COPY |
PERMISSIONS: | LEADER | an i icon |
LEAVE (orange, bottom) |
The name is assigned by the portal, not typed by us: it was
FreakyBanana4115 when the profile was new and a different FreakyBanana…
string in other sessions.
The code appears once the store exists
Three states, all read in the same build on 2026-11-06. The plate above is the
first: both rows read ---. In the first session of the day the same row printed
a five-character code, 4966B. In the session where we created a store through
the VISIBILITY dialog and then walked the street outside it, the panel printed
7A5X8 for STORE CODE and a https:... fragment for STORE LINK.
The pattern we can defend is only this: when the client had just created a store in that session, both rows held values; in the sessions where it dropped us into a store it had restored, they were empty. We did not run enough sessions to call that a rule, so the page prints all three readings and does not guess which condition decides it.
Why a blank code matters
Join Store on the menu asks for something, and this panel is where the
something would come from. With both fields blank there is nothing to read out
and nothing to pass to another player — which is consistent with the panel also
saying LEADER: the session is a single-player store with no one to invite.
What we never pressed
COPY twice, the i icon, and LEAVE. We do not know what COPY writes to the
clipboard when the field is --- — an empty string is likely and unverified —
nor what the i explains, nor what LEAVE returns you to.
Not tested
- whether a store code appears at a higher level, or only for stores other players can join
- what
COPYputs on the clipboard in either state - what the
iicon says - whether
STORE LINKis a URL, and what it opens - what
LEAVEdoes to an in-progress store
