A field guide to the CrazyGames build
Who stands behind the belt
Customers are the only other people in the store, and they are the whole reason the till has anything to do. This page records what the client actually puts on screen: their looks, how many arrive, and every behaviour we could confirm.
What they look like
In five sessions we saw customers in costume, not in plain clothes: a clown with a blue wig and a red nose, someone in a wide-brimmed hat, a figure with a cape and a mask, and a character in a cape. We never saw the same outfit twice in one queue, and we never saw a customer change clothes.
Every one of them is drawn in the same low-poly style as the player avatar. None of them had a name tag, a speech bubble or a price tag over their head.
How many, and where they stand
- Three is the most we saw at one counter at the same time.
- They stand in a line on the far side of the belt, facing the player.
- The queue does not seem to overlap the belt: the items on the belt belong to the customer being served.
What they do
| Moment | What we saw |
|---|---|
| a customer arrives | walks up, stops, waits; items appear on the belt |
| you scan | nothing changes for them; no reaction, no line of dialogue |
| payment completes | the customer leaves; the money counter rises by the total |
| next customer | steps forward, with a fresh set of items |
They never spoke, never complained and never tried to leave early in any session.
We saw both payment flows: the card reader described on /checkout/, and the cash
panel with Received, Total, Change and Given that has its own plate there.
What the client does not print
No names, no patience meter, no satisfaction icon, no receipt, and no count of how many customers are waiting outside. The only numbers that belong to them are the ones on the monitor: the item line and the running total.
Not tested
- whether the costumes correlate with anything (spend, patience, level)
- whether a customer can leave without paying, and what that does to the shift
- whether the queue can grow past three
- whether the same outfit returns later in a session
