A field guide to the CrazyGames build
You can walk here
The build has a state we missed for most of this site: once a store exists, the client puts you on the street in front of it, on your feet, with a crosshair. This page is what that street looks like and what the controls do in it.
How we got here
Menu, New Store, the VISIBILITY dialog, SAVE & CONTINUE. That is the whole
route, and it is the same one /first-shift/ uses for the till. The difference is
what the client does next: on some loads it drops you behind a till with customers
already waiting, and on this one it put us outside the shop on our feet.
Every earlier session on this site reached the till. That is why the rest of the
guide describes a seated checkout and why /deliveries/ used to say the build
cannot be walked. Both statements came from the same state, and that state is one
of two.
What the street shows
| What is in frame | What we read off it |
|---|---|
a red sign reading My Supermarket | the shop we just created, named after the default |
a red OPEN plaque on the wall | the shop is trading |
| a yellow stand by the door | a produce crate; we did not click it |
| a brick facade with six windows | the same building the till sits in |
| a second red building to the right | another shop on the street, unvisited |
| a green bin, a road, a crossing | street furniture, not clickable in our session |
| another figure walking | another player or an NPC; we did not approach it |
SHIFT pill, top right | it does not appear in the till view |
The top-left HUD does not change: gear, chat, Tab, C, the boxes icon and Q
are all still there, and the money counter still reads 10.00 at LVL 1.
What the controls do out here
| Action | What happened |
|---|---|
hold W for 1.5 s | the view moved down the street: 452,243 of 1,279,940 pixels changed |
| move the mouse | the camera turned, and a white crosshair appeared at the centre of the screen: the mouse is steering, not pointing |
press Tab | the STORE panel opened, with a store code in it |
| click the world | with the panel open, the click reached the game and opened SHIFT RESULTS with zeros |
The W result is the one that matters for the rest of the site. In the till state
we measured the same key and got 64,206 changed pixels, all of them inside the
advertisement beside the canvas. Out here the same key moves the camera, so the
difference was never the keyboard; it was the state.
What we have not done
- We have not walked through the shop door and mapped the inside.
- We have not found a back room, an office, an ordering screen or a staff screen.
- We have not tested collisions, sprinting, jumping, or whether the street reloads.
- We have not confirmed whether the other figure is a player, an NPC, or a placeholder, and we did not interact with it.
That list is why /deliveries/ still ends up empty: movement exists, but it has
not yet led us to anywhere that sells stock or hires anyone.
